Hà My Nguyễn

Biography
Hà My Nguyễn (born in 1991 in Huế, Vietnam) grew up in the mountains of central Vietnam bordering Laos, in the freedom of the mountains nature. She studied at Hue University of Art. She operated and continue her art activities there until 2018 she moved to France.  Currently, Ha My lives and works in Paris. Since then, her artistic practice revolves more around femininity, nature and visualization of and object or image that is neither human nor plant, defining it as an object appearing in another world or more exactly in her world, fiction or like a pinky dream. She calls it sometimes like " blooming", " dream seeds" or simply like " a mass of seeds ". She draws and models with precise gesture, guided by her imagination and her observation of what surrounds her.
 
Through her work, Ha My Nguyen seeks to bridge the gap between reality and the ethereal, capturing the essence of her experiences in Vietnam and her new life in France. The mountains of her childhood serve as a constant source of inspiration, infusing her creations with a sense of serenity and connection to nature. In her Parisian studio, she experiments with various materials, blending traditional techniques with contemporary forms to express her unique vision.
 
 
Practice
As she continues to evolve her artistic practice, she aims to create a dialogue between her past and present, allowing her audience to step into a world where the lines between reality and fantasy blur, and the seeds of creativity take root and flourish. 
 
Her sculptures often embody the duality of existence-celebrating both the fragility and resilience of life. The "blooming" she refers to is not merely a physical transformation but a metaphorical blossoming of ideas and emotions, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations. Each piece is a reflection of her journey, a testament to the beauty found in vulnerability and the power of imagination.
